Thunder God

This one's going waaaay back to 2001. I got lucky with this one because at the time I still didn't know what I was doing. My poses tended to look incredibly stiff (probably still will once I try drawing again). This one was less stiff than most and actually still kinda holds up.

Like I said...lucky...

The design itself was something I did up while working on a relaunch proposal. I think (and don't quote me on this) that I did this before the Ultimates or the Ultimate universe was released. Or maybe I'd heard about it and wanted to do my own "Ulimate Thor" story? Regardless, what Millar ended up doing with the character was genius and light-years better than anything I could've thought up.
